Think pink!

What girl doesn't love a little bit of pink? So why not on your special day theme your wedding pink?

I sourced this beautiful pink bridesmaids dress for a bargain price of £10 on ebay

And these pink shoes...well I might have to invest in these myself...just because! I found these featured on weddbook. Totally lush!

DIY - flower girl floral crown

During our craft day we decided upon making a little floral crown which would be beautiful for the flower girl/s on your wedding day.  We started our project with these paper roses and a plain girls hairband.

These paper roses were purchased from a craft fair and reasonably priced and the hairband was purchased at a local chemist. 

So simple and very effective :)

And here is our gorgeous model showing you all how effective our little creation is :)

Planning ahead :)

Vital question for your big day? What will be going upon your pretty head? Be it a traditional veil, or a vintage inspired piece there are sooooo many to chose from. I am pretty sure of what Irma will want but I thought I'd just browse a few different wee ideas :)

Pom poms and honeycomb wedding decorations

Today we had a bit of fun hanging these gorgeous decorations outside. Even Kelly's cat George came to have a look!

These would be gorgeous for a barn or marquee wedding and look amazing outdoors!

We bought these in Sainsbury's, the honeycomb ones aren't online but are definitely in store but you can buy the pom poms here.

There are loads of sellers on Ebay selling decorations like these.

Wedding cakes - Naked/ unfrosted wedding cakes

When it comes to wedding cakes there are so many style options to choose from. Today I'm looking at naked (or unfrosted) wedding cakes. 

I think these are gorgeous and perfect for a laid back wedding. They would be amazing at an outdoor wedding, in a barn or marquee and in so many other venues. They add a real homemade feel to any wedding and can really cut down your budget because you can do them yourself!

The bunting makes this cake perfect for a marquee or barn wedding.

The rustic, homemade style of this cake is just lovely.

I love the use of plants and herbs on this cake.

For my wedding I would love to have a naked wedding cake. It would reflect my laid back and personal feel that I really want my big day to have.

A light reflection

Today I was just minding my own business, happily ironing away with the tv on in the background when something fabulous caught my eye! I just had to get online and share :)  A mirror vase! OK...so for Irma I am mostly thinking vintage....but can you imagine beautiful white peony flowers or a mix of white and pink perhaps placed in a beautiful mirrored vase? With the reflection of the flickering candles and the twinkling fairy lights...how incredibly beautiful a vision comes to mind. I am definitely going to have to investigate this vision further :)

After a quick online search I found a display of white roses on www.rtfactflowers.co.uk

Stunning! Anyway, just another idea to reflect on ;)
